Bio:
My name is Daniel Kazalov, I am a seventeen year old student from Dusseldorf, Germany who is passionate about helping others. My family moved from Sofia, Bulgaria to Germany about nine years ago. I've spent the past ten months in the US as a Congress-Bundestag Jr. Ambassador. During my time as a CB exchange student I attended a local high school and got inspired by the voluntarism that is deeply anchored in the American way of life. Giving something back became very important to me. I volunteered at several community organizations during my time abroad and received a US Department of State award for outstanding volunteer service. I plan to major in International Management with a focus on international project development. I see volunteering abroad as a great way to combine both my passion for helping others with experience in my future field of study. Now I am looking for opportunities to help! Due to the fact that I am a full time student I can only volunteer for at least one and not more than three weeks. I would love to find a project that I can support several times a year for a few weeks. My involvement in my local community and my international ties to the US and Eastern Europe make me also an ideal supporter able to promote a project and raise funds.
Volunteering Experience:
I have volunteered over 100 hours in the past year and received awards from both the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) and from the United States Department of State. I have volunteered for three major organizations while being a Congress-Bundestag student in the US. 1. The Granite State Grassroots Campaign which supported the election of democrats to the US Congress. 2. Easter Seals, New Hampshire which is known as a multi-billion dollar charity organization, focusing on developmental problems and financial support for medical procedures 3. The Concord Patrolman Police Association which is the State capitals police union and operates as one of the largest non-profit union associations in the State| I am fluent in three language and very flexible regarding my fields of work. I can assist with anything that is needed and that can help a community organization to grow and help others. From taking care of the correspondence with potential sponsors over the raising of awareness using social media and modern marketing to community development projects, I am eager to help.
