Bio: 
Cody Brady Bio Prior to retirement in 2013, Cody Brady was the Quality Improvement Manager at the Texas Department of Health Services. For the previous five years, she was the Performance Manager with Texas Adult Protective Services. Prior to these positions with the state of Texas she has been a program Coordinator with the WIC wellness program, qualitative researcher investigating coalition development and effectiveness, consultant with ECI, coordinator for a cancer screening program funded through NCI and trainer/facilitator with state, national and international organizations. She was invited to speak about adult protective services to the Japanese Home Care Physicians Network, in Makuhari Japan, in February 2010. She has presented original research at Society of Intercultural Education Training and Research, Michigan Research Education Association, American Public Health Association and American Society for Training and Development. In 2002, she completed her Ph.D. at the University of Texas at Austin, in Adult Learning and Organization Development, Master’s in Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin and her Bachelor’s Degree at Michigan State University. Since completing her degree she has been an adjunct faculty at St. Edward’s University teaching intercultural communication and Organizational Research. Her interest in training, learning and systems improvement began with her very first job and continues unabated today.
Volunteering Experience: 
I have volunteered throughout my life with many diverse organizations. From the Homebuyer's Association, League of Women Voter's, Girl Scouts of America, LBJ High School Lacrosse Team, author for Westlake Picayune, and Keep Austin Fed to name a few. I am interested in growing and learning from volunteering. I would like to work with children and adults who are interested in learning English. While I do not have a background in teaching English as a second language I am interested in learning how to work with learners of a second language.
