Bio:
I believe that everything happens for a reason, and if I had not experienced what I ave so far in life, I definitely would not be where I am, or who I am today. My many exciting and scary experiences have afforded me to fall into is the only way i can really describe it, into my ideal job. I am a Deputy Head of hose and Behaviour Mentor in an East London High School. I am essentially a glorified babysitter/agony aunt/ parent/ counsellor/ and law enforcer, of 1000 teenagers (with 225 of those being directly my responsibility as they are in my House. If I had not travelled through South America volunteering, partying and trekking my way through some indescribable experiences, and if I had not experienced my most embarrassing moment ever in front of a class of 50 thai teenagers - i would not be where I am today. That being said; it's time for another challenge, and Im hoping to spend some time this year volunteering abroad. Preferably in South America as I left my heart there - and I would love to get back my previous level of Spanish. That's enough for now. Thanks for reading, I hope to speak to you soon.
Volunteering Experience:
I spent 2 months volunteering in an Orphanage in Cusco from November 2012 to January 2013, whilst also attending a Spanish Language school. I then went on to complete a TEFL in Thailand and also volunteered during evenings and weekends, teaching students English at a local orphanage whilst working as an English teacher during the day at a local high school. When I was a teenager in London I volunteered at an internet radio station co producing a weekly youth led radio show. Finally, i actively fundraise and support my local soup kitchen in Brixton, London, especially during the winter time collecting large quantities of donations from very generous friends, family and colleagues, and delivering them to people across London.
