Bio:
My name is Carly Lindsay and I have a strong passion-based desire to volunteer and give back to others in my work. I feel so fortunate to live the life I do with experiences I've had with a variety of people. This includes my elementary school teachers to the mentors who took me under their wing in high school to the humbling people I've met working both as a volunteer and as a paid employee in Law Enforcement. One of the most important lessons I've learned is to love unconditionally anyone and everyone, no matter who they are, their history, or background. Another, is to always give back in my career no matter what I am doing, always do it in service. I am so excited to begin a new chapter in my life, learn the more I teach, and open myself to others in giving back all that I can.
Volunteering Experience:
I spent the majority of my high school career volunteering whether it be through Junior ROTC where I led as the executive officer for volunteer based events honoring veterans or with the local Police Department in the explorer program. I gave over 1000 hours of community service between the two and continued the explorers program into college where I was eventually offered a position within law enforcement. I took leadership as the post LT. before I resigned from the explorer program due to school work and two jobs I was managing on the side. I was promoted within the local business I work for and have just recently made the decision to resign too, from the police aide position I filled. This truly has left a void in my heart and I have a strong desire to serve and volunteer in not only my community, but now in whatever place or part of the world where I can help or "make my mark." I am currently studying spanish and am very open to a wide variety of volunteer opportunities.
Education:
One semester away from my associates degree in business, planning to transfer to complete my BS.
Occupation:
Administrative Assistant
Other Skills:
Attention to detail, strong commitment, reliable, and hold a firm belief in integrity
Strong leadership qualities and interpersonal skills, always looking to be a team player
High energy and passion to work and inspire others
Ability to multitask and be flexible
