Bio:
I'm a fun-loving, hard working, easy to get along with person who is compassionate, caring, empathetic, altruistic, and loving of all people and animals across the globe. I see the good in others, and in myself, and I try to set a positive tone wherever I go in hopes that I will affect those around me. I have been searching for my passion for many years now which has carried me through many occupations and challenges. I have done everything from Structural Concrete Forming to Bartending, from Landscaping to Employee Benefit Insurance, from attaining a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology to tutoring in Mathematics, from team sports such as Lacrosse and Football to solo sports such as Bowling and Tennis; I have been searching for my passion and I believe, after much soul searching, that I have found my passion in helping others. Nothing seems to carry as much purpose and meaning in life as the act of helping others does. I'm a non-judgmental, open-minded, and understanding individual who deplores discrimination of others. I want to give. I want to give up everything I have and dedicate my life to helping others in need, whether it be in rebuilding homes and providing food and water to victims of a natural disaster, or teaching children who cannot afford an education, or helping animals who are endangered or mistreated - I just want to do whatever I can to help.
Volunteering Experience:
SPCA dog walker in Coquitlam, British Columbia. "Hockey Helps the Homeless" in Vancouver, British Columbia. Britannia Community Service Centre volunteer for "Kickstand", a bicycle repair shop who teaches bicycle riders of the community how to repair their own bicycles and helps reduce the number of cars on the street. I know it's not an overly abundant amount of volunteer work experience but I'm ready to starting filling this box up!
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Simon Fraser University, British Columbia
Occupation:
Client Service Specialist, Employee Benefits
Other Skills:
Concrete forming (construction), teaching academics, building, fixing, heavy labor, coaching sports
Cooking, painting, cleaning, leading, professional communication, navigating, childcare,
