Bio:
I am part of a family of three sisters and one mother. I caught the travelling bug when I was working for South African Airways. I have traveled to United States, Great Britain and Israel but I have never been to the Far East. I have spent the last 8 years in full-time study at the University of Stellenbosch and decided to take a break from my studies. I would like to volunteer abroad for at least a year in order to assist with life style chances that I need to make. I have always found that helping other people has the added benefit of you helping yourself. I am not a very physically active person and that is what I would like to change as a volunteer. I have worked with the Kolping Society of South Africa as a trainer/facilitator and subscribe to their motto, "People helping people to help themselves"
Volunteering Experience:
The only volunteer experience that I have had was in Israel on Kibbutzim. In South Africa, I have been involved with a life skills program, assisting unemployed people to begin to change their perspective about the world of work.
Education:
Master Degree in Practical Theology,Batchelor of Theology and Post graduate certificate in Education
Occupation:
Trainer/Facilitator and registered teacher
