Bio:
I'm currently a student at Binghamton University pursuing a double degree in Computer Science and Applied Physics from the Watson School of Engineering/Harper School of Arts and Sciences. I'm part of the internal hackathon committee at HackBU as well as a member of Math Club, ACM and ASME. This semester, I founded Binghamton's first Robotics club with Steven Mitchell. I'm also doing research in Machine Learning under Alexey Kolmogorov that focuses on applying Neural Networks and parallel processing to find the most stable configuration of a set of atoms.
Volunteering Experience:
I've had experience volunteering at two local reservoirs near my high school (Ashokan and Rondout). At these reservoirs, we cleaned up the shoreline and removed debris from the surrounding watershed. In my local community, I helped run a local non-profit theater by selling tickets and concessions as well as cleaning and coordinating with senior members of the organization. I've also volunteered at local festivals such as the Rosendale Street Festival and The Clearwater Festival. At these festivals, we made sure the premises were clean and that attendees were properly disposing of compost, recycling and trash. Finally, for the past two summers, I have been assisting a local soccer coach at his summer camp by teaching younger campers and helping organize and manage the entirety of the camp.
Education:
GED from Rondout Valley High School and Currently pursuing a BS in Computer Science and Physics
Occupation:
Research Assistant in Alexey Kolmogorov's Lab
Other Skills:
Computer Programming - C++, Java, Excel
Waiting and serving alcohol
Teaching and dealing with children
