If you are volunteering for greater than one month you can work as a teacher at our school. Your responsibilities will include teaching children from the ages of 2 to 6 years of age in multiple subjects (mathematics, art, English, Swahili, etc.) and will play a fundamental role in the education of the children at our center. If you would like to volunteer for one month or less we have lots of tasks that you can help with, but we ask that you don't participate in teaching the children because this is a larger commitment that requires some training. Some things include helping the teachers while they teach, playing games with the children, helping with the construction of some of the ongoing building projects and...
It is very important for our teachers and children to learn to use a computer. Most teachers and children have never had basic computer classes. We would like volunteers to help teach our teachers and our children how to use a computer.
Some of the skills we need are using the internet, email, microsoft word, microsoft excel and uploading pictures.
