Organization Description
We are a non-profit organization located in the small fishing village in North Peru (Los Organos / Mancora). Our goal is to achieve a holistic development of the village through 3 main pillars: 1) Education, 2) Health, and 3) Social Programs. We are currently looking for volunteers to become part of our organization, participating in our programs that aim to seek a comprehensive development of the Los Organos / Mancora and its inhabitants. Their current conditions are inadequate for the population to develop and thrive. Therefore, we seek to improve these conditions through better education, health, social work and interaction with different world cultures.

Our program focuses on teaching english through after schools academies and in school teaching assistance, regular medical assistance checks and social work such as recycling, water saving and financing campaigns. We truly believe education is the best way to fight poverty. Our program generates a unique experience through the exchange of skills and knowledge with local people. Volunteers not only help others, but most importanly help themselves by expanding their horizons and gaining valuable experiences.

Volunteers will be assigned to different programs: English Classes, After School, English Teaching Assistance, Computer Classes, and Play Time. Depending on the assigned program, activities range from teaching English to everyone in Mancora and Los Organos to helping local children with their homework or interests - e.g. leisure, arts, sports, etc. Volunteers will work with people of all ages, from children to adults.

Share & Care Peru wants to reach those who are not reached by the government by fighting disease, promoting good health, preventing cold and flu, informing good nutrition habits, and fighting teen pregnancy.

We are located in North Peru (Los Organos / Mancora) considered by many as a paradise: sunny days, warm weather, no rain, warm ocean temperatures, amazing fresh food and perfect beaches for different activities such as kayaking, scuba-diving, windsurfing, fishing and snorkeling. We offer supervised and a safe environment for all volunteers. They will be able to experience peruvian culture at its fullest, improve their spanish by having a direct interaction with friendly locals and experience a different way of living. Volunteers will actually see how they make a difference in someone’s life!

Experience Peruvian culture at its fullest. Improve your Spanish by having direct interaction with friendly locals. Grow as a human being and contribute to a better world. During your free time, experience a different type of tourism, travel around north Peru with your Peruvian personal guide. You will be able to get all the “inside information” for you to have an authentic experience. This is a great way to gain experience while having fun! Share your knowledge and grow with us!

I had an amazing time in North Peru. Local people are awesome! Absolutely the best volunteer experience I've ever had. The program director Mateo works very closely with volunteers to ensure a great experience. The organization is based in Los Organos (small fishing village) so has few overhead costs and projects that truly help the community.

The beautiful little kids would dive into your arms at the beginning of the day thrilled to be attending school. It was an enlightening and touching experience that will remain with me for the rest of my life. Volunteering with Share&Care Peru was an amazing experience that offered me a new perspective and better understanding of giving back in a meaningful way that is not intrusive on a communities culture. I was working with members of the community as well as teaching school to pre-school and elementary children. Members of the community welcomed Share&Care Peru volunteers and were warm and cheerful. I can't wait to visit Share & Care Peru again down the road and see the progress that all the kids have made. Place is fantastic !!!

I had such a good time during my volunteer period at Share&Care Peru. I totally recommend this program to anyone looking to help most needed and at the same time have an amazing time, meet new people and learn about a new culture! As a volunteer I was able to help poor local people from this quiet, small, nice fishing village located in North Peru. The Peruvian north coast is amazing! Warm weather, fresh food and friendly locals. At first I was shocked about local people conditions (extreme poverty- no education, bad health, bad hygiene). Most of the young people had no life aspirations nor goals. I was able to fully help them and orient them so they can succed in life. It was a amazing experience! If you are looking for volunteer experience in South America, definitely...

My experience as a volunteer in Share & Care Peru was incredible! 100% recommended. I volunteer for Share&Care Peru during 5 months in 2015. I would say it was one of the best experiences in my life. Being able to help the most needed and at the same time have an incredible time. North Peru is an amazing place. It is the vacationing hub of South America. During my free time I was able to practice my Spanish and learn how to surf and scuba dive. Everyone at north Peru is good people with good vibes. It is a wonderful place to spend some time. Volunteer programs are great! I was under the English teaching program. I was the main English professor at Los Orgnaos academy. Being the English teacher for this people was incredible. I learned many different things about life. It...
