My first experience as a volunteer has been with Possible Nepal. I have been working as a volunteer in an orphanage at Phutung, 20 minutes from Katmandu. In this orphanage there are 10 children, 6 girls and 4 boys, between the age of 6 and 14 years old. We were staying in the orphanage and I shared room with another volunteer from Texas. I take the children to school every morning and while they were there, I went to work to a health post near the orphanage, 15 minutes by walk. I got back to the orphanage in time to go an pick the children from school at 4:00. Once we got to the orphanage, we ate with the children before helping them with homework. After this we had time to play with them, and also help in other things of the orphanage. We have dinner with them and they go to sleep. When...

It's great to be here and help the children with everything here. They work really hard at school and will always be nice and helpful. Seeing these children with such a rough past this happy, is really great. Kapil is doing a great job in this orphanage. He makes sure the children live their lives as good as possible with the money the orphanage has. It has been a great experience to be here. The orphanage needs all the money and help it can get, so if you can, please come over here to help these children.

I worked in possible Nepal from 02/03/2014 To 06/07/2014 as a volunteer for caring children. I have wonderful time there. All children respect me as a sister so I feel about some responsibility for their bright future. Wake up around 6:30 AM ( early in the morning as like other Nepali people) , take shower with hot water, take a cup of tea with children, help them to wash their hand, wash face, do little exercise with them. Arun ( one child) want exercise a lot. Help children to do homework from 7: 00 AM to 8: 30 AM then drop children in school. Children are very honest. Sometime I work in school as english teacher. how different between Nepali and Austrilain school, I had wonderful time to discover it. Go to hospital if children sick, play many outdoor and indoor games, telling story...

Hello !! I just spent 3 weeks in Possible Nepal. That was such an amazing experience. This is a small orphenage, with barely 10 kids (between 5 and 13 years old) ! Due to it, I could build real relation-ships with almost all the children, that was lovely. Basically, my work consisted in helping the children doing their homework: in the morning before they go to school (yes they work before school !!) and mostly in the evening after school. I played with them also, they had like a "rest time" before starting working after school, and those were the moments I preferred because we could really start to know each other. The place is cute, I had a nice bedroom upstairs that I shared with another volunteer. I am really happy that I could go to their school to teach english in the...

Hi spend three weeks in the orphanage of Possible Nepal. It was lovely to stay here, it is a small structure (10 children, one lady in the kitchen and a young Nepalese student helping the children) so it is easy to feel integrated. The children are very cute and nice. The fact that I was also helping at school was great, I felt useful and I discovered Nepalese school. The orphanage is in a peaceful neighborhood of KTM which is nice because you felt as you are in a village but if you need anything it is nearby. Well just to say that I had an amazing time, playing with the children, learning to know them and living as Nepalese people! Even if it was hard to see the poverty (Possible Nepal is a new organization so not well known, there are no much donations) it was such a wonderful...
