Our programs for volunteers:

English Teaching Project

This teaching program is running in Govt primary schools ( G.P.S)or private schools in rural areas. Volunteers will work in schools and organize various activities for the children to increase sharpness of their talents and to increase their knowledge. Volunteering as a teacher in India is an ideal way to help redress this imbalance. You can gain invaluable international development work experience without any previous skills and you do not need any training or certification . Weather you are volunteering in India during your gap year, career break,or an extended vacation, you will have a role to play on one of our teaching project and will be able to make a difference.

Child care community project

In rural areas, Early childhood care and education job is done by local childcare centers called (ANGENWADI). Our aim is to support these local child care center is to give them right and good education. The word Anganwadi means “courtyard shelter” in Indian languages. They were started by the Indian government in 1975 as part of the Child Development Services program to combat child hunger and malnutrition. A typicalAnganwadi centre also provides basic health care in Indian villages. It is a part of the Indian public health-care system. Basic health-care activities include contraceptive counseling and supply, nutrition education and supplementation, as well as pre-school activities. The centres may also be used as depots for oral rehydration salts, basic medicines and contraceptives. These centres provide supplementary nutrition, non-formal pre-school education, nutrition and health education.

Women ‘s Empowerment

In the simplest of words it is basically the creation of an environment where women can make independent decisions on their personal development as well as shine as equals in society. Women want to be treated as equals so much so that if a woman rises to the top of her field it should be a commonplace occurrence that draws nothing more than a raised eyebrow at the gender. This can only happen if there is a channelized route for the empowerment of women. Thus it is no real surprise that women empowerment in India is a hotly discussed topic with no real solution looming in the horizon except to doubly redouble our efforts and continue to target the sources of all the violence and ill-will towards women. There are several challenges that are currently plaguing the issues of women’s rights in India. While a lot of these are redundant and quite basic issues faced across the country, these are contributory causes to the overarching status of women in India. Targeting these
issues will directly benefit the empowerment of women in India.

Henna Classes

The Henna tradition is as old as 9000 years. It was used as cosmetics in ancient Egypt and is universally popular in society today. Ancient cultures like the ones in Middle East, India and Africa made a ritual out of Mehndi and have contributed to making it one of the most traditional forms of Body art. The aroma of Mehndi oil and Henna itself is intoxicating; the mud smells very rich and earthy. In India there is a belief that Mehndi is very auspicious and young girls or married women ornate their hands and feet for good luck, purity and joy!!Our volunteers have the opportunity to learn this skill or get henna done on hand or feet from a local “mehndi” (henna) artist.

Yoga Classes

Yoga is a commonly known generic term for the physical, mental and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India with a view to attain a state of permanent peace. Specifically, yogais one of the six astika ("orthodox") schools of Hindu Philosophy One of the most detailed and thorough expositions on the subject is the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali which defines yoga as "the stilling of the changing states of the mind" Yoga has also been popularly defined as "union with the divine" in other contexts and traditions, Various traditions of yoga are found in Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism and Sikhism.
