Organization Description
Eternal Life Organization International Ministries (ELOIM) is a group of people passionately committed to improving access to healthcare, education, justice and rehabilitation for communities in Africa. We aim to restore the dignity and hope of those we serve by helping to provide humane conditions and services which help them to regain their dignity. We build and refurbish village medical and educational facilities to provide innovative services and work to change the attitudes of the societies we serve.

Eternal Life Organization International Ministries (ELOIM) was founded in 2007 and duly registered in 2009 under the Non Government Organizations Registration Statute 1989.Reg No: S.5914/8320.

ELOI Ministries has been able to reach out to many vulnerable groups in society among which are the widows, HIV/AIDS Orphaned Children and Disadvantaged Elderly People both at community level and nationwide. The organization has a total membership of about 900. 70% of the adult membership is female and 80% of the youth is also female. The population of this area consists mainly of low income earners as most of them live in slum conditions adjacent to the organization and the villages nearby and do petty business selling tomatoes, bananas etc. The largest numbers of them are economically disadvantaged with most of them being children orphaned due to HIV/AIDS and Widows who are struggling to earn a living.

The community views ELOI Ministries as a beacon of hope, a lighthouse ,having established itself in the middle of such an area as an organization to reach the people of the surrounding area with the gospel of Jesus Christ, its goal is to link the organization to community service and development through nurturing an environment that will empower people from this region to participate fully in the efforts designed to alleviate poverty, ignorance, and disease affecting them, through nurturing a people centered and sustainable development approach.

It was first to say an honor to help ELOI Ministries in the endeavor to help youth and adults in the greater Ugandan area through Christ. It was a humbling experience, and one that I will cherish for the rest of my life. At the beginning of the journey I was uncertain at the task that was before me, and yes I put it in God's hands and was led by Mr. Tendo Steven and his great staff throughout my stay. They treated me with the warmth and compassion that can be likened to that of a family member and I consider now that there is a piece of my heart that will always be in there in Uganda. This all being said I hope to one day come and volunteer again for this great organization as there is something inherent in all humans when you share or give and there is nothing like it. Those smiles...
