Organization Description
COUNTY YOUTH DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (COYODEF) is a registered foundation under the Department of the Registrar –General of societies and foundations in the Attorney General Office Kenya. The organization is established with the aim to bring together youths from the 47 counties of Kenya to stimulate Leadership and Community Development, Monitoring and influencing county government and national government policies that affect the youths and Preparing the youth for leadership roles in Higher Education Institutions, the workplace and within their communities to realize social cultural, economic and political development.

VISION
To become a leading organization in Supporting and enhancing local advocacy efforts and providing a collective voice for youth services in the Kenyan counties.

OUR MISSION
To empower youths as leaders in service to their communities and counties.
To enhance community empowerment through a people-centered and gender-responsive development that creates opportunities for all to achieve equitable and sustainable development in our counties.

OBJECTIVES OF COUNTY YOUTH DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION
We work to strengthen the youth service system and provide a community that serves youths; promoting services that improve outcomes for youth encourage participation and initiate development projects in our counties.
1. Monitoring and influencing county government and national government policies that affect the youths.
2. Influencing developments in child welfare youths services to recommend and implement the most beneficial course of action for youths, their families and communities.
3. Building a public-private partnerships to facilitate open dialogue between public officials and private providers
4. Advocating to build and sustain critical community- based child welfare and youth services
5. Supporting and enhancing local advocacy efforts and providing a collective voice for youth services in Kenya.
6. The foundation will open more branches in other counties and sub counties to bring youths together in development projects.
7. To support training programmes for young people within the business field
8. To inculcate a culture of integrity and sound moral code.
9. To stimulate Leadership and Community Development.
10. Change the odds for high-potential youth from risk-filled environments, inspiring them to pursue personal success.
11. Initiate youth and students exchange programs both local and international
12. Build an information centers in all 47 counties and talent development social halls.
13. Preparing the youth for leadership roles in Higher Education Institutions, the workplace and within their communities.
14. Providing mentorship for youth in schools and in communities.
15. Train and equip school student leaders to maximize their potential.
16. To use sport and creative arts as a means of mentoring and equipping youth and bringing about social change.
17. To create awareness amongst the youth about environmental issues
18. To reduce the number of HIV infections among young people by discouraging risky behavior and promoting healthy lifestyles which are purpose driven and goal orientated.
19. To mitigate the negative impact of inadequate education and HIV and AIDS on youth, orphans and vulnerable children, families and communities.

PARTNERSHIP FOR DEVELOPMENT
County Youth Development Foundation (COYODEF) is mobilizing the Youths, Communities, Count Governments, Civil society organizations, Local and International universities and colleges, Academia, private organizations, development partners, donors and sponsors both at the local and international level towards multi-stakeholders partnership in setting up an information centers in all 47 counties and talent development social halls.

The agenda of the partnership is to develop a strategic working framework on how each of the partners can scale up their core competencies towards fulfilling the mission of mobilizing resources and structure programs to be implemented.
